Security!

Out on a party scene, or a ballgame, and something goes wrong…Maybe someone’s drunk and biligerant. Perhaps someone is in need of medical attention or has put themselves in harms way. When something goes bad, we often scream “SECURITY”! Sometimes there isn’t even formal security in the vacinity–we are conditioned to search for what’s not even there.

Security. Conditioned response.

In life, semi-contrastly, we will scream for “SECURITY” and nothing bad has even happened yet. We skirt the possibilities of greatness for security. We dream big, make a few plans, and then the what-ifs enter our cerebellum. But what if Big Percy only lives in our minds? What if our own talent is all the “security” we need? What if (My God) or whichever you deem all powerful, is the real bouncer? If we believe in our false security,  ask to see his badge. What’s odd in this case is what happens when we call security–Let’s not arrest ourselves.
